We build tools for people who build things.
MonkeysCloud is the all-in-one developer platform — Git hosting, task management, multi-stack hosting, managed databases, AI workflows, monitoring, and documentation in a single integrated product. Built by developers, for developers.
One developer. Five tools. One question.
In 2024, Jorge Peraza was running a small development shop and managing a growing list of projects. Every day looked the same: open GitHub to review pull requests, switch to Jira to update tasks, check Vercel to see if the deploy succeeded, log into a database dashboard to check queries, and open Datadog to verify metrics were healthy. Five tools, five tabs, five invoices, and zero integration between any of them.
One deploy cycle required touching four different tools just to go from “code merged” to “confirmed live in production.” Task boards never updated themselves. Developers copied Jira ticket numbers into PR descriptions manually. Monitoring had no idea that a deploy just happened. The tools were good individually, but together they created friction instead of flow.
The frustration led to a question: why isn't there one platform where code, tasks, and deploys are connected by design?
He looked for an answer. GitHub does code but not hosting. GitLab does code and CI/CD but tasks are an afterthought. Vercel does frontend deploys but nothing else. Railway does hosting but no Git, no tasks, no AI. Pantheon does WordPress and Drupal hosting but nothing else. Every platform solved one problem and ignored the rest.
So he built MonkeysCloud.
The first commit was in late 2024. By early 2025, the platform had Git hosting with AI code review, Kanban boards linked to branches and deploys, multi-stack hosting with 32 frameworks, managed databases, and monitoring — all running on Google Cloud Platform. The entire platform was built on MonkeysLegion, a PHP 8.4 framework Jorge had been developing for years as an alternative to Laravel and Symfony.
MonkeysCloud launched with a principle that hasn't changed: the platform is free for unlimited team members, and you only pay for production-grade compute. No per-seat pricing. No artificial limits on collaboration. Developer tools should be measured by utility, not seat count.
Our principles.
Developers should not be DevOps engineers.
Pushing code to production should take seconds, not hours of pipeline configuration. MonkeysCloud detects your stack, builds the container, deploys it, provisions SSL, and monitors it — without a Dockerfile, a YAML file, or a CI configuration.
Tools should work together by design.
When a branch is named after a task, the task should update itself. When a deploy happens, monitoring should know about it. When a build fails, the developer should get an explanation — not a 500-line log. Integration is not a feature; it is the architecture.
AI should be useful, not flashy.
MonkeysAI reviews code, explains build failures, assesses deploy risk, and plans sprints — because it has access to the codebase, task board, build logs, and monitoring data. Context makes AI useful.
Pricing should be predictable.
No per-user fees. No bandwidth surprises. No usage-based billing that spikes unexpectedly. You see the price before you commit, and the price is what you pay.
Teams should be free.
Inviting a teammate, a client, a contractor, or an intern to the platform should never trigger a billing event. Collaboration is not a premium feature.
Meet the founder.
Jorge Peraza is a Costa Rican software engineer, entrepreneur, and framework author based in Colorado.
Jorge started building for the web in the early days of Drupal and PHP, working across agencies and product companies in Costa Rica and the United States. Over more than a decade, he built expertise across the full stack — from Drupal enterprise sites and Symfony applications to React frontends and cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
Before MonkeysCloud, Jorge held engineering roles at AnexusLAT and Spark451, building large-scale web platforms and content management systems. He participated in the AUGE/UCR business incubator at the University of Costa Rica, where he developed his approach to building technology companies from Latin America for global markets.
In 2023, frustrated with the fragmented developer tooling landscape, he began building MonkeysLegion — a modern PHP 8.4 framework designed from scratch as an alternative to Laravel and Symfony. MonkeysLegion emphasizes performance, developer experience, and a modular architecture with independent Composer packages for routing, caching, authentication, internationalization, file management, telemetry, and GraphQL. The framework powers MonkeysCloud itself.
MonkeysCloud Inc was incorporated in Colorado in 2025. Jorge serves as CEO and technical lead, responsible for architecture, product development, and go-to-market strategy. The company operates remotely from Denver and Costa Rica.
Jorge is also the founder and technical lead of ColibriV LLC, a hydrogen-combustion aviation startup developing next-generation propulsion technology. ColibriV has StartEngine approval for equity crowdfunding and participates in the LvlUp Ventures accelerator program.

Our Stack
MonkeysCloud is built on the technologies we believe in:
Backend
MonkeysLegion (PHP 8.4) — our open-source framework. The platform is the framework's largest production deployment.
Frontend
React with TypeScript — the dashboard, task boards, code editor, and every interactive component.
Infrastructure
Google Cloud Platform — GKE for container orchestration, Cloud Build for CI/CD, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager, CDN, and Vertex AI.
Git Service
Custom Git server built in Go using go-git for read operations and the native git binary for writes.
Real-Time
WebSocket server for live task board updates, build log streaming, and collaborative editing.
Mobile
React Native for iOS and Android companion apps.
Our journey.
Jorge begins building MonkeysLegion, a modern PHP 8.4 framework designed as an alternative to Laravel and Symfony.
Work begins on MonkeysCloud. The first prototype connects Git hosting, task management, and deployment into a single platform. MonkeysLegion packages mature: Router, Cache, Auth, I18n, Files, Telemetry, CLI.
MonkeysCloud Inc incorporated in Colorado. Platform launches with 32 stack support, AI code review, managed databases, and monitoring. First users onboard. ColibriV approved on StartEngine for equity crowdfunding.
Launch of the public platform with free tier, 90-day trials on paid instances, and the tiered scaling model. Documentation wiki, enhanced AI features, and high-capacity instances (up to HC-64) released.
