Pushing code over HTTPS and SSH

Clone and push your repository over HTTPS with a token, or SSH with your own key.

Every project on MonkeysCloud comes with a managed Git repository. You can work with it over HTTPS or SSH.

HTTPS

For HTTPS you authenticate with a personal access token instead of a password. Find the token on your account settings page, then:

git clone https://monkeys.cloud/<org>/<project>.git
# when prompted, use your username and the access token

SSH

To use SSH, first add your public key, then clone with the SSH URL:

git clone git@<host>:<org>/<project>.git

Pushing

git add .
git commit -m "my change"
git push origin main

Pushes are validated, and if you have branch protection enabled, protected branches reject pushes that don’t follow your rules.

What happens next

A successful push to a branch that has auto-deploy enabled triggers a build. Watch it from the project’s Builds page, or read about how builds and deployments work.
